CAUSE AND EFFECT PR and the TOGETHER WE PAINT organization have
several employment opportunities, both in the career full-time and part-time/internship sectors. In addition, there are numerous volunteer opportunities available.
CAUSE
AND EFFECT PR is a Scottsdale, AZ-based cause development and PR
firm
specializing in corporate social responsibility and citizenship,
event management, community outreach, volunteerism initiatives, and
cause media/branding.
TOGETHER WE PAINT, HELPING HAMMERS and their sister Hispanic project JUNTOS PINTAMOS are a series of semi-annual community outreach initiatives where
2,500 volunteers paint, repair, and improve 100 homes owned by
low-income seniors and disadvantaged families, public schools,
day-care centers, youth centers, senior centers, and other
non-profit community buildings.

for the TOGETHER WE PAINT and JUNTOS PINTAMOS causes.

FULL-TIME PERMANENT CAREER POSITIONS
Managing Director, Sponsorships
FULL-TIME
Secures sponsorships for compelling community cause branding
initiatives from local, regional, and national community-conscious
companies. Responsible for achieving annualized revenue budgets.
Manages all arrangements for paint/home repair barter agreements.
Helps establish sponsorship fees structure and guidelines. Develops
sponsorship profiles, video, audio, PowerPoint presentations.
Manages collection of sponsorship fees.
Sponsorship Sales
FULL-TIME
SPONSORSHIP SALES.
Seeks account executives to market innovative cause-related
marketing programs to local, regional and national companies.
Requires excellent verbal/written communication skills,
assertiveness, passion for success, and street-smart approach. If
you feel you are bright, resourceful, not intimidated easily, have
no fear of cold-calling when you believe in something, understand
the conceptual sell, have a strong work ethic, and have a very
positive attitude, this may be of interest to you.
Sales
experience and mindset required. Media or PR experience helpful,
especially radio, TV, or print advertising sales. This may be ideal
for recently ousted mortgage brokers. We would prefer one of hires
be bilingual and have an understanding of the Hispanic culture and
community.
The
ideal candidates will have zero call reluctance; have the uncanny
ability to penetrate the gatekeeper and have an intelligent
conversation with the decision maker; and obtain an in-person
appointment. Our blueprint has an unusually high closing ratio when
negotiating with the true decision-makers and unusually low closing
ratio when we allow prospects to “take it up the ladder.”
We
manage a pair of compelling causes, TOGETHER WE PAINT and JUNTOS
PINTAMOS. After success in CA and FL, we are expanding into AZ. We
manage 2,500 volunteers who paint, repair, and improve 100+ homes
annually owned by low-income seniors, disadvantaged families, and
public schools/community buildings. We merge this community
outreach project with extensive ($1.2 million) media, marketing, and
PR coverage, providing guaranteed media and PR for our sponsors.
This is slated to become one of the highest profile causes in our
state, and beyond!

Managing Director, Media, Marketing & PR
FULL-TIME
Develops alliances and relationships with media, press, and
marketing partners. Negotiates all media and marketing buys with
radio, TV, print, special publications, etc. Design, layout, and
content of project collateral. Manages all radio and TV creative
and production. Manages all web sites, collaborates with
Webmaster. Drafts and distributes press releases. Writes articles
for press and industry publications, web sites, etc. Editor of
Volunteer Newsletters & Volunteer Handbooks. Assists with
organization of annual volunteer appreciation parties. Assists with
post-event Media, Marketing, & PR Fulfillment book for each sponsor.
Director, Client Fulfillment
FULL-TIME
Ensures all client fulfillment of sponsors benefits. Collaberates
with managers to confirm all benefit line-items. Develops client
fulfillment strategy for each sponsor. Meets with clients when
appropriate to confirm continual fulfillment. Proofs all
collateral, press releases, etc, to ensure proper ID and placement.
Manages development of post-event Media, Marketing, & PR Fulfillment
book for each sponsor.
FULL/PART-TIME OR INTERNSHIPS
Public Relations Coordinator
FULL/PART-TIME/INTERNSHIPS

Nominations Coordinator
FULL/PART-TIME/INTERNSHIPS
Coordinates all nominations, qualifications, and selection
processes. Responsible for communication with interested parties.
Manages data-base. Assists Community Relations Coordinator with
developing relationships and alliances with non-profits, government
agencies, and civic groups.
Volunteerism Coordinator
FULL/PART-TIME/INTERNSHIPS
Manages
all volunteer aspects, including date base, developing relationships
to recruit volunteers, communications. Assists with developing
stories for Volunteer Newsletters and Handbooks. Coordinates day-of
volunteers, including food/beverage distribution, etc.
Community Relations Coordinator
FULL/PART-TIME/INTERNSHIPS
Manages
all community relations and government relations. Develops
partnership and alliances with non-profits, civic groups,
universities, and public school districts. Coordinates meetings to
present cause to interested groups. Manages all municipality issued
proclamations and commendations. Assists with development and
planning of local Advisory Boards.
Technical Coordinator
FULL/PART-TIME/INTERNSHIPS
Manages
all technical, paint, repair aspects of projects. Site inspections
and specifications. Assist with photo-taking process, video, and
interview of homeowners. Manages paint, equipment, and supplies
delivery and pickup. Coordinates repairs and improvements.
Coordinates pressure-cleaning of sites. Communicates with Paint
Captains.

More than 100 homes owned by low-income seniors
and families, public schools, and non-profit community buildings
will be painted, repaired, and improved ONLY with the help of 2,500
volunteers, including yourself!!!
There are numerous volunteer opportunities,
from building a team of co-workers or friends to adopt a
home--to project leaders who help manage and organize the
efforts--to individuals who care enough to invest a few hours in
their community to help brighten a life!
Everything's provided! Paint, supplies,
equipment. We provide breakfast, snacks, lunch, beverages, and
t-shirts!

(One Saturday Only)
Invest
a few hours making a difference by painting homes in need.
Everything’s provided! Paint, supplies, equipment, breakfast,
lunch, and t-shirts! Most of the painting is done on a single
Saturday in the fall and a single Saturday in the spring in your
area.

If you
own/manage a press-cleaner or power-washer, help those in need by
volunteering your services to prepare the homes and sites to paint.
This way, on the day-of, painting volunteers will have a clean
surface to paint.
